M-Line is an agency and Dream Morning Musume is a new group, they release an album and a concert.
I think they should have a separate thread as all groups of H!P or not?
Well if not, a moderator delete this thread.

What is the new album about?
Why is it 2 CDs?
If they sing some of the newer Morning Musume songs ~ then this is looking cool ~

I'm really in two minds about this.
Part of me (probably the bigger part!) thinks it's great - get to see them back doing the whole MM thing.
But part of me thinks that it is also probably the best way UFA can undermine the current MM. Perhaps they no longer have aspirations in that direction.

It also seems rather strange that they "graduate" all these members from Momusu and H!P - and then get them together to perform, presumably, H!P songs and also name themselves after H!P's flagship.

Again, I am pleased to be seeing them do something like this, and I really hope it is good, but it just smacks of desperation on the part of UFA. Perhaps it is the only way they can justify keeping some of the girls on their books?

Ah well.
Will be interesting to see what UFA do if / when this album outsells Momusu's last few offerings.

The only reason some of the members (Iida, Rika, Mari) graduated H!P was because the Elder Club was dissolved.
And I highly doubt it was because they've lost faith in the current Momusu. They just got ninth gen for Christ's sake! But there's a big demand for the OGs to still be out and about (why else do you think Rika and Mari have new photobooks?) and since these girls are still under UFA, they can still do something with them, in comparison to someone like Maki.

In that oricon article, Fujimoto said that she was tired of doing laundry and wanted to sing and dance again (paraphrasing), so I think a lot of them probably want to be on stage, and UFA won't let a money-making opportunity like that go by. They said that the group will release an album of songs from MM's lineup and 2 new songs they'll record.

Also in the Mainichi article, Nacchi is quoted as saying, "It's like a dream. Shall we aim for the Best Newcomers' Award?" and Yuko says "If you ask us about rivals, it's every group in the idol world!" lol So I guess you could say there might be some competition - but I don't think it will hurt MM - "a rising tide lifts all ships"

i'm actualy quite excited about this just because Koha's in it lmao, but i think it'll work out well... i wonder what'll happen to the current MoMusu... if this turns out permanent and Ai leaves MoMusu and moves to THIS one... can you say the reincarnation?

With doing songs from MM's line-up, they mean the current one? Would be awesome to hear the older girls do new songs.

Also, I highly doubt this will be too big of a problem for current MoMusu. Though I wouldn't mind joint concerts if this woud turn into a success.
For now. I'm just spasming with excitement.
