It seems there's a mutual just let it go kind of process to the divorce from both sides, it's very uh... planned to say their paths diverged and stuff, so who knows what really happened. It does kinda explain the blog changes...and the dumping all those disney picks really fast and strong, since kotani was the photographer.

 

I wonder if that change between what word she used in japanese for husband was part of the changing tides too...

My Gaki Hime married to a weirdo was always a dreaded thought. I can only hope she chooses better in the future. At least she didn't have a kid with him. Now if she will just go ahead and marry Eri as I planned

She's been spending a lot of time with her family which is good for her mental state I'm positive!

All these years of blog-translations I get this feeling Gaki would pull into a little bit of a quiet down state if it wasn't for being exposed to so many happy people. I'm glad she has that support!

Been doing the twitter summaries and I think it's going okay so far.

 

She's got a dream journal now and one of her goals is to do youtube something and do some kind of work with disney.

 

Also it seems she's adopted calling her fans risanchu by the looks of it.

She's been answering lots of Q&A on her blog, I'm doing spot translations on twitter that aren't perfect but if you're curious it'll satisfy you I think. But now that Gaki's next play is about to start up her posts might thin out for a bit, we'll have to wait and see.

A lot of comments mentioning how Gaki-san's way of singing has changed, I think in terms of her expressions.

 

Perhaps she was feeling it, after the divorce and all...but who knows, she's always been pretty cool when it came to singing.

Make up could also be the factor.

A lot of the times that she'd perform while still in the group, it often felt like she was trying really hard to just barely hit a note right outside of her normal vocal range.  I might still see some of that, but not nearly to the same extent.  Compared to back then, she doesn't seem like she's stressing her voice as much and pushing it to a dangerous edge.  Now when she does it, it just seems more like emphasis rather than necessity.

 

She was definitely fairly expressive though.  That eye-roll was simultaneously adorable and scary.
