I personally feel Riho is the awkward type. Socially awkward cause things do get cold once in a while. But its all right, she's trying her best to socialise.

Thanks! Somehow I was trying to think of her environment she'd been. She seems to be very shy with boy like if any boy (as in young man non- wota/fan/coworker) approaches her she would just run away lol.

 

I can't remember if it was from Riho's blog post or radio show, she shared a story about when a couple of boys approached her and asked her if she was a college student I think she said "No" and walked away quickly

 

I could be wrong, but I think that happened during the time they shoot the Wagamama MV on that university campus. So I figured Riho would bound to run into university students there and they would ofcourse assume she is a college student or something. No one would expect a middle school student walking around in a university campus.

 

And yes Riho is a very shy girl, she said it herself if I recall correctly.

^Oh, those in B-class are those who are older. Riho was in A-class when she was in the right age range. I forgot what's the exact age range but basically once you hit a certain age you get moved to a different class. She was in the elite class before her age pushed her into "B-class". Ageism at work? lol

 

Speaking of ASH, I went and looked at the blog shared by some ASH girls and found something totally awesome: a post written by one of the other girls BEFORE Riho ever showed up on the H!P radar (circa 2010?)

Just a small correction. They call her Rihorin, which I think is cuter than Rihoriho

^Lol oops, I did it in a rush at work, wasn't paying attention to that bit. The seniors call her that, but her batchmates refer to her as Riho-chan though.

 

I'm far more interested in the fact that she's "always messing around with someone". Basically she's a playful girl, but it doesn't show up as much within MM, I mean, sure, she loosens up around 9th gen and stuff, but you don't see her playing around as much unless she's goofing around with Zukki or Maachan. I guess as a senpai she has to set an example lolol

^^ That could also mean that she's not nearly as close to her MM coworkers as compared to her schoolmates. You do see it bubble up to the surface every once in a while, but I'd hazard to guess because she's shy, it's a gradual process of warming up to them more than anything.

I feel that since Reina's gone Riho somehow assumed her responsibility to take the lead part that Reina left off. Recently, I thought she has quite changed from May right around Reina's graduation.

 

It will be difficult for Riho to be playful among MM for the "duty" she set herself up. From time to time we saw her playful side but I think she pretty much keeps her work/private separated like Reina or some other girls.

 

Sometime its better to have some distance between your coworker but I do think she can still goof around some more while still keeping that distance.

Btw, apropos of an earlier conversation... THIS week, Sanma's analysis of MoMusu at Kouhaku is that they should perform WITH AKB48 and MomoClo... (Sounds like a kind of idol apocalypse to me)
So I'm reduced to the impression that he's just saying whatever to make an impression. (For reference, the "change" can be associated with the new information that it was three WEEKLY number 1s in a row, whereas his comments last week were before the weekly chart was in. But I think he is just saying anything...)
