This is amazing to see Riho pop up in my other favorite Japanese group?!?! So happy to see her performing again!

Riho-metal? This is like a professional athlete transferring to another club lol Although this makes sense the whole thing with Riho had to leave UFA cause otherwise he wouldn't be able to work at different agency. If she ends up joining BM, it will be great news. I mean nobody can replace Yui-metal but Riho would be a great new member.

At least Riho is living up to what she said in her 20th anniversary interview about just wanting to randomly show up and surprise people with performances instead of it being some pre-announced and grand ordeal of a spectacle.

I wonder if she'll be there for Wembley next week as well then if she was at Glastonbury today

Agreed, I never really thought she as was much of a visual member as others did (similar in that regard to Maria until fairly recently), but she's really stood out since the 20th anniversary stuff. If I'm honest, the only extended exposure I've had to Baby Metal was mostly just Doki Doki Morning and a live performance of Give Me Chocolate several years ago from a Fine Bros. reaction video I think. However, it didn't fit my criteria of "putting this on my playlist won't give me nightmares" though so I never got quite as much exposure to Baby Metal as I would have H!P or even some non-UF acts like Flower or Faeries. The look really suits her far more than I ever would have expected, even after having seen her in something as morbid as Lilium.

The earlier videos got blocked by BBC but the one by BBC.

All I can say is YESSSS Riho Riho is back!!!

Her dancing is as strong as ever, now I hope we can hear her voice as BM.

I wouldn't get my hopes up regarding hearing her voice in BM. This phase of BM is still a bit weird despite being a massive improvement over the last two years. For now BM is just 2 people. She's not going to be in interviews and she not going to have a mic on stage. She's there as a dancer in order to 1) stick to the 3 girl formula people liked and loved and 2) as a sort of tribute to Yui who had to leave because of health issues. On the 6th and the 7th they'll have lore concerts (meaning this is where the story of BM gets expanded) so maybe some more info will appear there or things will change already. My money is on reveal of the third girl in the rotation. I wouldn't count on them deciding on Riho (or any other of the two) as a permanent member soon (maybe next year) to give her a mic and have her appear in interviews and all that. And honestly besides the mic I'm cool with this for now. It takes a lot of pressure away from her.

 

And as we saw, Riho still has to prove herself too. Sure she might have been excited because of her first performance in front of a big overseas crowd and gone a bit overboard but the fact of the matter is she had stamina problems towards the end despite not having performed like 20h prior in Japan. She'll need to get used to the tour life.
