It’s been announced that AKB48’s sub-unit, Watarirouka Hashiritai has added two new members. The new members are Komori Mika and Iwasa Misaki and with this change, the group has officially changed its name to Watarirouka Hashiritai 7 to reflect the size of the new line up.

Watarirouka Hashiritai 7 will be releasing a new single on February 2, 2011. The Title and track-list information for this single hasn’t been released at this point. The new single of Watarirouka Hashiritai 7 will be a Valentine’s song produced by Akimoto Yasushi. Akimoto’s most popular valentine song he produced thus far was Kokusho Sayuri’s “Valentine Kiss.”

Personally, I like the idea. Both Komori and Misaki are underrated members, especially Misaki.

7 kinds? Then possibly, the information about a 7nin unit is accurate.

Anyway, I also find that the initial 4-piece was the best.

I think until an official announcement is made we should think of this as a 1 single deal with the 7 members. Even on their official website only the single info has the 7 of them everything else is still just the 5 members.

Kikuchi Ayaka said on her blog that the 7 members is only for this single, and it's being credited as a single by Watarirouka Hashiritai 7 instead of Watarirouka Hashiritai.

Just saying, Watarirouka 7 has existed for a while. They've been a radio unit for like, half a year.
This is a single by them, not Watarirouka. >_>

Also an interesting mention would be that ogi girls(since joining team ogi) have been doing the backup vocals for watarirouka songs too I believe.

Personally, I am quite happy to learn that the addition of members is limited to this single only.
As a big Watarirouka fan, I am still finding five members strange, let alone 7.

Thinking of the impression by Hatsukoi Dash and Yaruki Hanabi, it is not the original Watarirouka anymore.

I have dreamed of Watarirouka getting the top oricon place, but you know the Akkannbe Bashi: effort from debut by 4 members, glory shared by 5. It was quite sad.

Well, yes I understand. But still we know Watarirouka as 4 as first.
Anyway Komori and Wasamin...looks like they are producing photobook together?
Can they climb to the top a few years later??
