Interesting.

I wonder if they prefer the sound of Fenders or if they're just easier to play and/or carry around.

It's certainly a good "pop" guitar.

i don't think they really used "real guitar" to film "Taiyo no Kiss" PV.

maybe they just used "demos or models"
, that's they might just use models look as same as real guitars.

Cuz it'll cost too much to use real ones for filming.
Besides ones should be heavier, and maybe somehow are not so ideal for filming.

in my opinion,
the reason why they use Fender is just because they are asked to promote the brand. Cuz you can read their feature on Fender's Japanese official site, and it seem too "easy" to let u know what kinds of guitar is theirs.
(and that will "make" ZONE's fans to buy fender guitars.)

A few things...

1) I was watching all the Taiyou No Kiss TV performances and I notice that Maiko still gives the cutest facial expressions when singing. But, Tomoka's guitar looks really slick with that silver glitter paint job. Miyu's looks more plain, but functional guitar. Don't they change guitars and bass they use for each new single? Unless its the same model with a different paint job.

2) Now...here is the interesting part since I am a musician. I do wonder on some of the TV performances if they are actually playing live? I've noticed when they played True Blue they dont play the intro then start to play when singing the first verse (or in one case, I forgot which show, Takayo, started to play after singing a few lines...and you can distinctly hear two different guitar parts going on as the case with the song). Soutsgyou is another example when they performed it on CDTV. Also...when they perform their first two singles off of the Z album...it looks like they dont play much either (even during the x-mas special) [I'm guessing theyre keeping it true to the video?]. This observation only applies to when they perform on TV...I cant say much else since I have not seen them live (I want to though!).

3) Is there any online store where I can purchase posters of Zone? It would be a sweet addition to the walls in my room ^^.
