In October a NEW vocaloid will be released



This is "Rio" a new vocaloid by AH-Software Co. Ltd. who also created Miki, Yuki and Kiyoteru.

Think she looks similiar...thats because she is designed by KEI, the same guy who designed miki, Kagamine twins, Luka, and Lily.

She is also some sort of Hello kitty vocaloid, which I don't know much about.

Hopefully she will have a unique sound rather than sounding like a pre-existing female.

edit:: according to a vocaloid wiki, there is another vocaloid being released by Yamaha called "VY1 MIZKI" which will have no set gender, character design or voice

Crypton, the people who brought us Miku, len, rin and luka are currently working on a new male to become part of the VOCALOID2 series. They are also working on a young female who's concept will be different and will not be part of VOCALOID2.

An append for Rin voicebank is complete and will be released soon, a demo for which is on youtube. Lens append is underway.

Finally a VOCALOID3 series has been confirmed and is said to be aimed to be Yamaha's most realistic voice engine yet. No further details yet.

The fun thing about Vocaloid is that I just keep on finding fun and interesting new songs of them on youtube

I thought I'd share my Vocaloid playlist! Some oldies (but goodies) but also some new/obscure stuff among the 162 songs. It is sorted by video upload date, most recent to least recent. There are some really great tracks on here(and this is coming from someone who used to scoff at Vocaloid), so give them a listen!
