Since the different versions were announced I have the feeling that this single, more than a side note or a special unit, is a way to know how much they can profit playing the card of multiples releases of the same thing (No Sleeve’s album could be another example). Instead of trying to think of editions or types, let’s try with this example: Toyota announced this January the launching of a new car that "is designed for customers who strongly desire to own a unique vehicle, offering them a personalized interior and exterior design along with sports-driving performance." That is each car is customized for each buyer according to their taste. Is not the only example of this (you watched something like that with Yuko on AKB 600sec), and maybe is too much for record labels, but they have hinted sometimes about this (the infamous 48 posters, probably much more examples on the theatre), so… would you pay much more than the standard price for a ‘customized’ edition (cover, tracklist, etc.)?

So for that I’m relieved that sales are (really) great but not that amazing as some people expected…
