Okay, so about gifts for them.
Is anyone else gonna give gifts?
I've never attempted to give gifts to any famous before so I'm totally lost

i think it would be cool to get something for them, especially since july 3 is itano tomomi's birthday
but would you get every member something?
only thing i can think of is olympic mascot keychains...

I just bought my one-day AX pass and AKB ticket. I'm local, so it's a short drive (and then dealing with Convention Center parking -- this time I'll remember: the parking entrance is around in back ).

i have the great fortune of walking....
staying at a hostel a few blocks away from LACC to keep costs down since i don't have anyone to stay with
the flight cost me somewhere around $275

BTW which member is the one blogging those pictures? and who is that non-member girl? I can usually recognize former members and staff that usually appear in there pics.

Pictures come from each girl’s blog. Maybe I should put the ones about food. The non-member girl is Kondo Sayaka from SDN48 that again goes with them for her language skills.

After I posted I went looking at Nito's blog. She didn't post all day so I assumed that they couldn't blog from LA but she just did.

Is anyone planning on posting some nice videos of AKB48 at Anime Expo? So far all I could find on YT is this and it's not very fulfilling.

There's one thing I noticed that struck me as odd, why are the members wearing Iiwake Maybe costumes instead of Ponytail one? I seem to recall that they wore Oogoe costumes back in NYC, is that some kind of an inside joke that they wore old outfits to poke fun at the notion that America is behind the trends? I'm just saying that because that's what Americans use for cell phones, about 2 years behind what Japanese use in Japan.

Anyway, I'd like to see some good videos, thanks.

(Maeda on her blog says something like she is going to stay away from her mother’s breakfasts for one week. Yuko is already shooting a PB (and a DVD also?). Kasai is going but not playing. Etc.)

The girl in white shirt looks like a staffer from the Expo, I don't know if those pics are from the staffer's blog or something but if it's not she shouldn't be posing so in your face, nobody knows her and people want to see AKB members, not her.

Fun concert, 2nd row, ended up taking my friends Sensei with me. Who knew nothign about AKB48 but first impression, she loves their ballads and said a few of them can really sing.

It was an excellent show! I would have paid just to see Takamina sing Bird -- but everything else was first-rate as well!
