Similar to threads in other sections concentrating on either only H!P or only non-H!P songs, the purpose of this thread is to share whatever AKB-related songs are stuck in your head and or what songs you think people would like. Hopefully this will help new fans find out about some really good songs outside of their singles and/or not feel so confused when watching a LOD or going to the theatre/concert.

So any AKB48, SKE48, SDN48, Watarirouka Hashiritai, Honegumi, no3b/No Sleeves, AKBIdoling!!!, Chocolove, etc. songs are okay as long as there is an AKB-related member in it. Not sure if graduated members music will count but not like there is a whole bunch out anyway.

So to start it off:

Hana to chire is one of my favourite akb48 songs, I was SO happy when they performed it at sokaku matsuri!

Innocence was going to be on my next post The lyrics are really something.
Mushi no Ballad is amazing, can't be sayaka with it though. She really does the perfect mix of vocals and emotion. Also there's something about the theatre with this song with the lyrics. Somehow it fits it well.

Early days songs are nice

I have many songs I like, but not really a single particular favorite. Many of the songs mentioned already are very nice (Mori e Ikou, Mr. Kissman, Tadaima Renaichuu, Rope no Yujou, etc.)

One song that I've been playing a lot lately, especially at work, is Team A's 3rd Stage song "Koike":

In case someone doesn't know (yes, it's been posted many places online before, but I suppose it doesn't hurt repeating):

"Rider" was the nickname of a fan of AKB48. He was one of the 7 original fans - those who were with AKB48 from day 1.

Initially when they started performing in their theater stage, they had many people showing up - but then eventually the numbers started dwindling. Day by day less and less people showed up, until one day there were just a handful of people left watching them. Needless to say it was a low-point in their careers - it's been talked about, how rough it was for them, how they cried backstage, wondering if they should just quit and retire. We today know that this never happened, that they are the biggest idols in Japan today, that it all eventually became a success story.

But "Rider", what about him? Well, as said he was one of the original fans, one of the 7 fans who always supported them. He got his nickname because of riding his bike to the theater every day. As far as being a fan goes, he was a big Hiichan and Shiho fan.

One day however he collapsed at the theater. He was hospitalized, and later on died...

Hiichan and Shiho attended his funeral, together with tgsk (戸賀崎智信). This song "Rider" is dedicated to him. When it was performed for the first time in the theater, there were fans crying.

Doku Ringo wo Tabesasete from Party ga Hajimaruyo
Kind of fairytale-like and silly. I think the music and lyrics capture that youthful innocence and curiousity found in Dear My Teacher and many other earlier songs. I like listening to this more than watching it be performed though.

Goes together with Seifuku ga Jama wo Suru and Keibetsushiteita Aijou. I think the "rap" part is MM-like.
