This week's AKBINGO was ok, but slightly underwhelming.

Shimazaki really knows all about Yokoyama, which is great because they're practically best friends. I didn't think that Yokoyama would fall to the "At home, I call myself Yui-chan", but, being the super serious and honest girl that she is, she reacted to it even though she only used to in primary school.

 

Regarding the red-light green-light costume race, I thought it was mildly amusing, but I guess that's the reason why it was cut out of the two actual episodes (the contests shown on the actual episodes were much more funny than what was shown here).

 

Team A, K and B will each have a So Long mini-drama to themselves which will air on the following dates:

 

Team A at the 11th of this month at midnight in Japan (24時18分)

Team K at the 12th of this month close to midnight (23時58分)

Team B at the 13th of this month close to midnight (23時58分)

 

You'll be able to vote for which one you thought was the best drama of the three, and which of the members acted the best for next week's AKBINGO, as it will be a live broadcast where they tally up the votes and announce the winners.

 

See, this is the type of new things AKB has to do in order to cultivate their roster's talent. I'm really happy they did this, and am looking forward to not just the dramas themselves, but to see who acts the best. (Though I have a feeling it'll still be Shinoda, because she's a really good actress).

Yuihan hasn't visited Kinkaku-temple in Kyouto... OMG no way Best thing this time around.

Very satisfying Shoujiki Shougi once again... but this is something that is virtually impossible to screw up and make boring TV out of.


Stop and go segment...

You can't make competitions fun by trying to make it fun... the fun comes out of that you go 100% for the win. Things like that bugs me alot...

The So Long drama...

Nice Yuko will win this. Not only beacuse she got more fans but also because she is the best actress.

He said that he had it completely shaved in a punishment game on a recent Aru Aru YY broadcast.

 

That's going to take a year and a half to regrow, so condolences to him.

^ He's wearing a wig now? What kind of game did he lose that would force him to shave all his hair off? If he wants to go back to full pompadour like he had before, that could take nearly 2 years or more.

Apropos... was it just me or did the last AKBINGO! episode (#230) felt a bit like Shukan AKB?

Two recap episodes followed by two very slow game episodes... this one...

 

Next week, though, looks like it has great potential.

 

OMG they are really pushing HKT to the max at the moment.

And why not? It's release week for HKT, and before that they were trying to get the girls some interest from regions aside from their own.

 

I don't think NMB ever got this kind of support, but they never did need it really. Especially with Yoshimoto backing them up pretty nicely.

 

With SKE, they always had the two Matsuis in there for quite a while.

Well, they did a pretty good job on raising the HKT awareness Now give the new AKB girls the same effort in AKB shows.

Well, Ariyoshi AKB Kyouwakoku does that oftentimes, bringing in members that aren't super popular, as well as members from the latter generations as guests.

 

AKBINGO doesn't most of the time because they have to appeal to the mainstream fans to get them into AKB48, but shows like Anta Dare, Bimyou na Tobira, AKB to XX and such choose from a large variety of members and/or groups.

Looks like the reason behind Sata's hair being shaved clean wasn't the previously mentioned Aru Aru YY.

yup, this was back during miichan's scandal

he lost a bet and had to shave his head in a segment of akbingo and that was supposed to air yesterday and next week
guess its "inappropriate" due to the miichan thing so thats why we have 2weeks recap now

it was pretty good but a lil slow.

New gen fashion show! Finally someone realized that a surprise is funnier than giving the girls weeks to prepare, seems like they would have failed anyways. But showing off the actual clothes they decided to wear that day without having to appeal to the fans will always be brilliant.
