no .. i think kaori didn't choose to graduate .. i've read from an article that it was her rest-day on that day .. and she was called by Tsunku to the office and then he told her that she would be graduating in january 2005 .. she was so worried that she called Yuko Nakazawa san , but Nakazawa san was drunk at that time so she went to karaoke instead .. but she was very worried though ..
(100%) reliable, because kaori was the one who said that in the article!

The way i heard it was that Kaori does not really want to graduate at the moment. But many think she should. Im not sure myself. If she does i hope she does not just vanish as she one of my favs. It seems inevitable tho that she will graduate tho.

well, I haven't been following them enough to know them well, but there seems to be people like Goto who are successful as solo but also hangs around MM along with Aya and Miki and I can't tell whether she is actually part of MM anymore.

and then there is Nacchi who doesn't hang out anymore. I don't know whether is doing well not

Actually, after looking at those news clips, Miki wasn't crying as usual.

This time it was Reina who broke down; thank God she didn't get too emotional like Nono last year when Nacchi graduated.

Some graduations are more easy to understand than others in terms of age but I can't really tell if the girls graduate because they choose to do it or Tsunku "graduates" them. Some are said to be voluntary, such as Asuka, Ayape and Sayaka (don't know about Yuu-chan) but I don't think all the others were voluntary.

Three very touching moments of the past graduations come to my mind (in no particular order):

1. Nono blacking out at Nacchi's graduation.
2. Aibon asking Kemeko not to graduate. She actually said that even when it was imposisible she'd like Kei to stay in the group.
3. Kaori saying good bye to Nacchi, remembering the many things they went trough together.

Every time that a 1st gen. MM graduates (the last one is gone ) can't help thinking about their "First Live" and how they were crying while singing Ai no tane, I just love that song.

FYI, I just checked the official Hello Pro site, and it says her graduation concert will be on May 7th (Konno's birthday!) at the legendary Nippon Budokan!
