I don't like so much the modern visual-kei, except for bands like Versailles and Moi Dix Mois (I love them). This style, imo, has become "95% appearance / 5% music" in the last 10 years.

But surely I'm crazy for the '80s old school pre-visual-kei and the '90s visual-kei: X, Malice Mizer, early Luna Sea works, kamaitachi, Gilles de Rais, Missalina Rei, kurohageha, After Image, Silver~Rose, ....

An interesting visual kei band born after 2000 is SEX ~Virgin Killer~, that reminds me a lot of early X, kamaitachi and AION. Maybe the only modern band that have an old cool sound.

Sadly to say I haven't really been listening to Visual Kei as a genre, but more of just GazettE themselves It's getting harder to find VK artists that are more into the music than their image.

Yeah, but you can search in the past, there are a LOT of great old bands, I mentioned in my previous post some of them for example.

Currently, My favourite are: SuG, LM.C and The GazettE.

Although, I do like Gackt, Miyavi, Alice Nine., and The Kiddie. ^___^
