I checked around the forum to just to see if there was a yaoi/yuri thread, and I didn't have luck. If there's a similiar thread, then sorry ><.
Anyways, if you like yaoi/yuri, come and discuss here =D. If you don't and would like to express your opinion on it, GO AHEAD! As long as we're discussing this, then thats fine .

As you already know, I Yaoi (more than yuri hehe). My favorites are Love Recipe, Jazz, Gravitation, and some others.

So, what are your favorites?

Yuri is my favourite!!! I don't really like yaoi, it kind of creeps me out. It's weird because I like yuri yet I find yaoi strange does that make sense?

Yuri is really cute, my fav. anime from them would be strawberry panic.

^ Nope, you're not strange. I like yaoi in real life or in manga, but I personally will go for manga yaoi.....

I don't like neither Yaoi nor Yuri actually. I preffer hetero pairs (no I'm not homophobic).

If I had to choose, I'd pick yuri. At least I can stand it and it's cuter than yaoi.

I like they both, but yuri is better. I don't watch hard yaoi or yuri, I watch shounen-ai and shoujo-ai, coz they are cuter. In fanfiction I like girl x girl pairings but I read boy x boy pairing if story is good. Sorry, baaad english.

I can say that I like something for it's story, and if the leads are both of the same gender, then that's fine. I have a problem with it when something has a really bad story and it's only popular BECAUSE of the gender of it's leads. That's sexist. I don't think it's fair to like something just because it's yaoi or yuri.

I don't like some of the common "tropes" in yaoi though, such as the older protagonist raping the younger one, but he did it out of love, so it's okay! That's really sickening and insulting.

But, yeah, I don't have any problem with it, or anybody who likes it, as long as it has a good story, because I'm more interested in the plot than than anything else. I've read quite a few good yaoi series and yuri series.

EDIT: To clarify, there are people who I've met that ONLY read yaoi/yuri series, and ONLY like those kinds of series, and consider heterosexual couples "gross" or "weird" or "sickening". Those people take it a little too far.

I actually really like yuri Strawberry Panic is my favourite anime of all time, it's just excessively cute.
However, I have watched Junjou Romantica. It was really weird but pretty good

And maybe because pople love to specify everything, its natural, let's not even talk about the average age thingy (complete with decimal value!) I see in (Japanese) Magazines

I have watched (If you don't know the meanings, well then good for you) KKM (1-3 +OVA), MSGM (1-4 + OVA), MH (1), all said to be either this or that.
The first and third, they have a real comedy value, and a story FT(almost)W.
The second being a drama of some sort, about a place that which everyone is, everyone was, and everyone will, go insane at some point in the story, and lolz to them.
But I enjoyed watching these for their faith in the storyline (especially for the second, for its physics up to the OVA), so my answer almost does not comply with the question, that which in general, what do I like.

As for my first "that" I have no interest in that anymore (or maybe just its genres?), I can't imagine why... it would seem that, any sense of (free) imagination, and other worldly desires, just left my mind and body...

I adore both yaoi and yuri, both equally, but I picked yaoi in the poll because I got into it first.

I adore Gravitation, and Junjou Romantica... and really any yaoi that I've read/watched, actually. ^^ Same with yuri. It's so cute. ^^

I enjoy watching yaoi animes, don't know why but ... yuri do not catch my eyes the same way yaoi does.
