The trend for double-subleader seems exists in large groups (>10 members). Perhaps there's some specific role for each subleader (example first subleader handle the senior members, the second one handle the younger one).

MM, Angerme, Beyooonds applying this model. So perhaps we'll see another subleader, maybe Muro fit that role in terms of seniority and age (maturity).

Though to be honest Beyooooonds doesn't have a leader. Ichioka is CHICA#TETSU's leader and Takase RFRO's.

 

Morning Musume has two subleaders because

- they were supposed to help Mizuki when she was still too young, and the subleaders could help each other since they weren't (much in the case of Haruna) older

- there's been the problem with Haruna and Ayumi being older than Ikuta, but Ikuta having more seniority over them.

 

Let's not forget though that MM puts a lot of emphasis on their senpai-kohai status while ANGERME doesn't really care.

July (6) - Ayacho
September (9) - Rinappu
December (12) - Kananan
March (3) - Musubu

One thing for sure, new added members replace exactly the graduate one (up until Kana graduation).

Congratulations Kana!

 

Really like the graduation dress that she wore. Very apt. Homage to her original member colour, with pink sequins (her last member colour) and with feathers denoting that she is the member who penned the current name of the group.

 

The concert started well with a string of S/mileage songs with the members wearing Pink (a nod to Kana). I love the part where the fake snow came down during "Samui ne". Very nicely done. I thought there were parts where the girls look tired but I am glad the energy went up mid way. And the sound mixing wasn't that great during the group parts. I believe Kana messed up the beginning part of her her solo song, but luckily she managed to recover from that. But other than that, I am very happy she got a great send-off concert. I don't know if it is because this is the last time we will see her as a public person, I feel that this concert were more heartfelt than Ayacho's and Rinappu's ones. And it does appears that Kana is a very well-respected/liked senior.

 

Kana, all the best to you! May you find the path that suits you best and that you enjoy most! Hope to hear from you soon!

New Angerme group photo.

Can someone please fire the person who style the girls. The outfit on Musubu is tragic.

 

I think the group now is pretty dead to me, just like MM, Juice=Juice, Kobushi Factory and Beyoooooonds. I don't have anyone in the group that I particularly like.

 

And also, perhaps the last 2ki public photo we are going to have since Kana has retired from the entertainment industry.

For me, Angerme has been crushing it for four years now. Funaki leaving is gonna be a huge loss, because they were set up almost as well as J=J for the next few years with her, Moe and Rikako as the primaries leading the way, but for the moment, I love this group.

According to Kanon's tweet, you see all the past and current members of Angerme in this picture. It's nice seeing Aiai again! Amazing!

OMG it really is all of them!!! So happy that their Angerme bond is still so strong that even Aiai who isn't in the entertainment industry went to her graduation

^I think I vaguely recall Kana mentioned that the first time she saw Aiai, she reminded her (ie. Kana) when she debuted. Not the best dancer/singer, so she felt a connection with her.

So I wouldn't be surprised that Aiai does have a good relationship with Kana.

From what I can see, I think most of the juniors in the group/outside the group have a great relationship with Kana.

So it's really heartening to hear good words about her and gives her the support.

^Do you mean just 1st gen or 1st gen with 2nd gen? I think it's possible the 1st gen still keep in contact with each other. Maybe in private but not on a public scale since Saki and Yuuka are no longer public personas.
