I'm single and don't give a damn about it, to be honest... Also, I completely forgot it's valentines day tomorrow (well... today, technically, since it's past midnight )

I'm single, and while I admit to being somewhat lonely, it's probably because I'm not interested in a short-term relationship with little meaning. I'm 23, and while that's hardly old, I'm pass the mess-about stage, and want something a little more serious. I live with a bunch of 18 year olds, and they go out most evenings trying to 'pull', but that does little for me, quite frankly. I consider myself extremely open-minded in terms of personality, interests, age etc, but that's exactly what my peers are not. At risk of sounding shallow, I suspect I'll find someone when I spend a year in Japan in 2 years time, but in all honestly, someone I can talk to and have a real conversation with, with genuine interest and care on both sides, is really the kind of relationship I want. Because of this, I'm single!

Single. And it's definitely the way I like it. I could get into the whole why-relationships-don't-work-for-me thing... but you really don't want to hear that. If you ever met me in real life you would understand in about 4 minutes why I shouldn't be in a relationship!!

^ Well yeah, I'm a great friend, but the whole "couple-marriage" type stuff doesn't really work to well with me. I'm a nice fella... but just not the kind that comes equipped with marriage technology.

I'm single and loving it! I've been in a couple bad relationships, so I quite like being single. Although every once in a while I get really lonely... I'm kind of hoping I can find a nice girlfriend, but I'm not even really looking, so I'm not holding my breath.
