We're going to Japan! Yay Yay Yay >____< Youko's so excited!!!
We're finally going!

As I was saying farewell to my family at the airport
I felt a little melancholic even though I'll see them in just 9 days ˊ___ˋ\
After all, I'll be going to Japan without my family, so my tears fell unknowingly

But, because Youko knows the road ahead will be more difficult
And can be away from my family longer, so I stopped crying as I got on the plane J

After a long plane ride, we finally arrived in Tokyo, Japan!! ^^ Yippee!!

Japan welcomes us, yay! ♥


***Actually, while in Japan, Youko avoided put on makeup whenever possible! ^^
Minimizing makeup protects the skin! Except for the last two days, where we put on makeup for the MV and photoshoot
I went without makeup for all the other days >____<***

Once in Japan, Youko took a deep breath of Japanese air, it really IS Japan!!
But, so~~cold! >___< Not used to the wind blowing!!
Afterwards, Japan staff came to pick us up!!

They offered us Japanese green tea J, Almost all the tea there were unsweetened
After a few hours, we arrived at our hotel ^^

Such a pretty room!!

It was around 3 or 4, and everyone was hungry ~ So the Japan staff took us to have spaghetti
There are so many kinds of spaghetti, all huge, we just took whatever we wanted.

Afterwards, we went to Hachiouji to see our senpai, MM's, concert ♥
All Youko can say is "Awesome!! >___<" !!!
The atmosphere is highly charged!! So happy to have seen their concert

Afterwards, we introduced ourselves to each other and shook hands J
They were all so cute and nice!

Ooo. She's finally posting about her trip to Japan.
It's interesting that Lightbulb is (apparently) the kind of girl to not wear make-up when it's not necessary.

Regarding the chengyu: I had no idea they were doing anything of the sort.
But after reading the translations and getting an explanation, their trade-off is even cuter now.

I'm really nervous.
Even though we were on H!PNS
But, it's been quite a while ...
So, all the details are a bit unfamiliar > <

Also, there is only 4 Ices this time!
Anchii and Guuchan had finals so they couldn't come**

I was very very nervous when performing
Senpais China Doll were also at the taping, lots of pressure! >___<

When taping started, Youko and rei rei were nervous and afraid to talk
Afterwards, when we played charades, we relaxed! J

NaDou is really funny!! Hehe ^^

We learned alot from this taping
We will continue to work hard in the future

I hope Ice CreaMusume can improve next time!! And get better and better!^^

^ 100% agreed. I don't listen to Goto Maki singles, so I can't say if she sounded similar or not, but I really liked her voice. (PeiPei did well too, I liked her deeper voice.) And the little "dance" Lightbulb was doing along with her singing was really cute.

It's sort of funny. Lightbulb is the only one I remember expressing worry about having poor English, and I would say her English is the best out of all of them.

I also agree that Lightbulb sounded great in her performance of Scramble. I haven't listened to the original in a while now, but so far as I can recall, she sounded quite a bit like Maki.

I don't usually post much (if at all... I usually lurk) but since Lightbulb made me laugh so hard during the past hour or so I must dedicate this post to her



This is where the nickname Lightbulb comes from. One of the judges commented how she was like a not well connected light bulb, going off and on

The beginning was funny (I only know basic chinese so this is a gist of what was said):

Host: I heard that you lost weight to join the competition?
Lightbulb: Yes.
H: How much weight?
LB: 6 kilos!
H: Wow so much... how'd you lose it?
LB: I ate less.
H: And any exercise?
LB: Yes.
H: What kind of exercise?
LB: *swallows* ..... *stares/glares off to space*
H: You swallowed just now?
Judge 1: she just did!
Judge 2: She has a murderous look, you have to watch out
H: Did I ask the wrong question?
LB: ....I ate less.



Her reaction to the judges giving her props was so funny, her expression is priceless!

LB: I'm so happy.. *frowns*
Host: Doesn't look like you're happy...

And one of the best parts, in regards to her austere facial expressions:

Judge: Does your school by any chance have any gangs?

At the end of her piano playing without the sheet music she was crying so the host/judges asked her why:

Host: why are you crying? We've never seen you cry like this before.
Judges: Just say it slowly.
LB: I didn't do well..
Host: You didn't not do well..
Judges: No, definitely not..
LB: ....no lights.
Host/Judges: !!!! *scramble to switch on the lights*

Because when the judges were commenting her they forgot to put on the lights (the flower things to show approval)!!
Her nature is a light bulb, so she needs lights

Aww! Thanks so much for those summaries. Her piano playnig was my favorite solo performance of hers. It was really beautiful. It's so cute that she was crying because of that; I had always wondered why she was.

Can I ask why she started playing the piano again while the judges were talking? I've been curious about that too.

^Haha, no problem. I really liked that performance too, that and the one in the first clip.

As for why she played again, from what I can get from it, after she did the first performance one of the judges noted that while she was playing with the sheet music it looked as if she was practicing piano (because her attention was fixed onto the sheet music instead of the audience) and that was a bit of a shame, so they wanted her to take out the sheet music to give the performance more emotion.
