This looks like a scene from LIFE or Whispering Corridors. (*Cough, cough* or Yes Or No)

It's insane how much girls can change within the course of a half year. She looks great. I agree with Lurkette, though. It would be nice if UF could give the girls more freedom concerning their looks, but they're hell-bent on going for the au naturel look unfortunately.

She hasn't finished highschool yet (she'll graduate in spring 2016) so it's still a long time until she will be able to study abroad (like e.g. Ogawa Makoto after her highschool & MoMusu graduations in 2006).

singapore is kinda of a bad idea if she's trying to improve her english or something like that. most foreign students who graduate in singapore end up being only half-decent in written english, because they only socialise with their own enclaves. and it's not like ALL the local singaporeans like speaking english anyway. there is a significant number of japanese families living in singapore, not sure about students though. we've mostly been attracting students form 3rd-world nations, not countries like japan.
if she wants to learn english like makoto or mitsi, new zealand is the most sensible solution; NZ isn't as far as europe or americas, and it's probably cheaper to live there?

I've yet to see a great example of the English skills of those two. But I guess you're right, can't really judge as I'm not from Singapore. However, I guess anything is better than Japan for learning English.

mitsui is getting full marks for the written exams, for whatever that's worth

She can try my country; inexpensive, filled with fluent speakers, and she can live life to the fullest. Unfortunately it's not a popular education destination.
And if she's lucky enough she can try the singing lessons here too.

Makoto is taking the TOEIC test regularly and her scores are not that bad. In NZ she obtained the TECSOL degree, which allows her to teach English to children. She also made a short quite fluent speech in English in a TV show when she came back (Marippe was shown in the corner, watching it & reacting to it). There used to be a video for it, I'm not able to find it anymore.

i'm not sure your country can deal with the typhoons(and... you know...) though. i don't wanna hear news of dead current or ex-H!P , especially not when they're younger than me.

Well, in terms of studying English, I also wouldn't recommend my country. IMO the US, Australia or the UK is still the best place to study English if you just have the financial capability. We market our English capability as an 'alternative' to those countries that I mention simply because it's 'Cheaper', not perfect but guaranteed to be 'Conversation-able'.
Speaking of Security of Foreign Students here, Since there is no place here that is 'Typhoon-proof', I can guarantee you that We don't shoot them on sight. There are muggers in the City but It can be avoidable(avoid the 'dark alley at night' thing ). I don't know what you have seen or heard in your country about my country but I guess it wasn't good. (Also the local media here loves bad news). Our country ain't perfect, It's a little chaotic sometimes but it's not in the level of Syria or Afghanistan yet.
Cheers! that's all! Peace!
