I don't think we'll ever get back to the earliest style of S/mileage as their general direction. If I had to guess on where the group would go without Ayacho, it might be something with the feel of the songs from the mid-point, mixed with a lighter touch of the recent cool/mysterious. I could maybe see something like Yattaruchan or Suki Yo, but a tad less colorful and a little more EDM as the primary title in future singles. Then the occasional colorful song or anime opening covers...

continued from^ ...like Megu-chan or Sally for the other title in a double/triple a single. I'd be ecstatic if they stole some of the japanese fake rockabilly that CG used for a while though. I loved those songs like Boogie or Dou Datte.
