I just can't shake off this feeling of dread that Harunan's PB is a pre-sotsugyou present of sorts

Nobody is calling anybody a hater. Saying let "haters hate and complainers complain" is a figure of speech. Please familiarize yourself with that idea.

I respect the negative opinions on Ai no Tame, but I'm sorry I fail hard to comprehend them...both the song and MV are perfect to my eyes

Ah yes, I MISREAD!!! Forget everything I said and I'll go crawl in a corner so I listen to the actual song.

Let's not sugarcoat things here, peeps. Ayumin is a terrible singer; but that's a'ight in my book at least, cause everyone in MM has a role, and her role is to be a dancer, and she excels at it

It really exasperates me how everyone seems to think "Mai Hagiwara seen with young male coming out of a conbini NOT holding hands or showing any intimate contact whatsoever = That's totally her boyfriend!!" Is it too preposterous to think that dude could have been a male relative?...or, yknow, a male friend??..or is this Saudi Arabia now, where women can't be seen with any male in public?

In Japan in particular, as well, a male and a female close in age seen alone together implies a romantic relationship. But since there was never any confirmation either way, we're all free to believe whatever we want.

You have Saudi Arabia backwards women can't be in public without a male escort just as they can't drive a car they need to be driven by a male.

Also Japanese couples tend to not always be very intimate in public. Public displays of affection are somewhat frowned upon so just because they are not holding hands or sucking face doesn't mean they don't do that in private. Also Japanese tend to do things in packs. A male and female all alone implies a few things.

I think they need to work on their dance, I wish they had better formations and faster moves like Gfriend the kpop group. Look at their song Rough and you'll have an idea of what I mean.

Yeah, it doesn't really seem right that the main group is the one that gets stuck with a specific theme. If they wanted a "cool EDM group", that's exactly the kind of thing they could've made a new unit for. I think on some level though, H!P is more interested in their other groups right now, so they do all their interesting work with them and give MM the same old stuff that will bring in enough sales to keep them happy.

What if iDOL STREET's "reconstruction" involves graduations??? DDD:

What's with the people who have an obsessive need to look for hidden reasons for graduations... can't y'all trust the word of your oshi? smh

I do believe the reason behind the almost constant negativity towards MM in this site is the fact that the Japanese fandom have a radically different picture of what an idol has to be than the foreign fandom... and guess which side will always be UFA's priority??

In all fairness the Japanese fans were predicting it also during that era it was really dark times. They were also really annoyed with the fact they dared allow foreigners in Morning Musume. If that gamble of making huge changes and rebooting Morning Musume didn't work they would have been screwed.

Everyone just wants to find a reason to complain! Create a situation where there is none, make things a bit more interesting for themselves.

I think it's only because MM is going through a transformation with Riho gone..people are curious or worried about the direction of the group. It's natural plus we don't have a lot of insight as foreign fans and so people make a lot of guesses. But also It's silly to get overly worried/negative about it (tbh tho 2ch can be just as bad about negativity they're all like H!P is done for with tsunku goneeee waaughghghghgh).

Plot twist: With this weird "reestructuring" iDOL STREET is gonna do, Risapyon and Naapon end up back in GEM..... irony through the roof

Honestly though, I'm kinda thinking "reestructuring" could have a different meaning from what we all are guessing; I mean, if it's how we imagine, then the shuffle would involve SUPER GIRLS as well..
Jan 18 2016 01:05 AM -

...and SUPER GIRLS is a well-established group in the conscience of the idol scene in Japan.. imagine one of them suddenly getting thrust into GEM or Chikipa, or the opposite... that'd be weird af tbh

Everytime I read evidence that showbiz (or at least idolbiz) in Japan does not bring in the dough as much as Western showbiz does, I wonder what is it that keeps the older girls (say.. 16+) in the business... fun?... genuine love for the fans?... love for performing? taking into account that they could choose to go into more "serious" facets of performing arts...
