There is unfortunately small groups of people and individuals who need to validate their existence by playing up some silly rivalry. I've seen both sets of fans do some pointless and dumb things.

If you could bring back any former H!P member (graduated or otherwise), who would it be? What group would you put them in? Assume that their reason for leaving is completely forgiven/forgotten by everyone.

Do people still complain about the Riho attention? She's got amazing dancing skills that will rival Captain and Maimi someday. Her singing voice has grown since she joined and still has yet to reach it's full potential. She's adorable when she's awake and active. She's amusingly cold when she's sleepy. And she's not even my favourite 9th gen

I still rank her below some Kids because although she can match them in energy and intensity, I have yet to see her dance to a sexy or sultry song (not that I really want to being how young she is).

So some new guy at work notices I'm listening to DEEP MIND pretty loudly and he tells me he's an idol fan too. He asks me why I'm still into H!P because he converted to AKB a while ago. I tell him I enjoy the variety of personalities within Berryz and C-ute. Naturally, I ask him why he's an AKB fan now. He answers, "because they're more popular". I won't be talking to him again.

Well some might get into a group because of that. Maybe he's totally clueless right now, and don't know much. If with time he does, maybe he can say who his oshi is, what his favorite stage is, favorite team, etc. But if that never comes and he just likes them because they're the most popular, well that's not good :)

I don't think for some of them it's as exaggerated as we think. I 've seen females and grown men go nuts over a fake spider/bug/snake. I even scared the mess out of my older brother by throwing some fabric scraps on the ground and calling it a spider.
