Lowkey I've been struggling to enjoy H!P like I used to since the pandemic. I've always bee opinionated so often management decisions have made me grumpy. But during covid times I found it harder and harder to enjoy new releases or get excited about new members. I was worried I was growing out of idols but kept checking in, hoping some news that would come out that would reignite my fandom...

...Watching the latest Haro!Sute had me going "woah, this is the stuff I like" for the first time in years. It's not that the content has changed at all, it's just I'm back to taking joy in h!p again. I haven't bothered learning the names/faces of any of the girls debuted after... maybe Hashisako Rin? so I've got a lot of work to do.

Yeah, I purposely avoid certain groups because I only have so much energy. They are not awful or anything.

I've recently been trying to brute force myself into liking all the H!P songs I hated when they came out, and honestly it's a pretty fun time. Maybe Seishun Night isn't as bad as I thought.

lol I was living in Japan when that single came out, and a store I went to a lot played the Seishun Night chorus on repeat constantly, to the point where I couldn't stand to hear it. I'm far enough removed from that time that giving it a listen again I now see it is in fact a banger.

ahh i've done the same with overplaying songs, it sucks how it ruins it for a while but i guess one upside is that it makes going back to the song kind of a whole new experience lol

If you're looking to any OG stuff, I've always loved these concerts:

Morning Musume's 2016 My Vision concert is one I revisit a lot lately too.

yeah the css was messed up for me last night, i thought it was noscript or umatrix interfering but it wouldn't work when i disabled both so i just accessed the mobile site from my phone to get the info i needed lol

just realised that the 30th gen of KSS is the third largest addition H!P has ever had, only beaten by the h!p kids (15 members), and the original eggs (32 members)

That's wild to think about. I'm happy they ended up staying with and utilizing the Eggs/Kenshuusei in the long run. (I think fans in general also owe a lot of thanks to Mitsubachi Maki and Ueno Mariko at this point, haha.)
