i love every time a dating scandal comes up because of the arguments that insist that the "no dating" rule is in the girls contracts (which is a hilarious statement in its own), and debates as to whether or not a teenage girl deserves to be Ostracized And Fired Forever

    Honestly I think it's funnier when you get the buzzfeed types who talk about how evil and cruel the industry is for taking away their human rights to have teenage sex and date.

    On the other hand I don't think it's funny at all how grown-up ppl don't understand the difference between appropriate and inappropriate restrictions. Japanese courts ruled against love ban rules so it's not even a thing where one can ague with cultural differences. It's just you guys having no clue about human beings, human rights and labour rights.

    There's an equal part lawyers saying it is not acceptable and an equal part lawyers saying it is. Regardless of position, one must understand that this is an integral part of the fandom, and that you - someone who is not in favor of it - is in the minority of it, because those who are in favor, are the ones with deep wallets. And casuals are those who support their idols the least.
