can anyone recommend me some cool interactive app for learning kanji? i have a lot of apps for learning in general but they mostly focus on words itself or hiragana, all the kanji ones i know are kinda scary LOOOL

    I used Anki for a long time. I'm not sure how customizable the mobile app is, but I used it for both recognition and recall with kun'yomi and on'yomi readings, meaning, and stroke order. If you attempt too much at once or skip days, it can get overwhelming, but it is effective. If you're comfortable with kana, it's especially worthwhile to find sentence decks even if you don't know the kanji yet.

  • I am using the app "imiwa?" for it. Also the website & app Wanikani but only the girst three levels are for free. As I had two semesters of Japanese language classes at university I also still use my learning material (the "Genki" series)
