How did they kill the group when the decisions and activities of the girls made the group non-sustainable?

They literally put them on hiatus once Momoko graduated. That's what lead to the group becoming non-sustainable. Yamaki and Ozeko would have stayed full time members, Chisaki, Funakki and Yanamin wouldn't have joined other groups. Their sales weren't worse than Kobushi's are now.
