However, emotions take different forms as day progresses and my thoughts brood over the matter longer. One day I was sad and worried, then proud and happy somewhat, and now I feel disappointed and betrayed at some level. It was a bad thing to say really… but yeah, I can be selfish for a day and say this is how I feel.
Ever since the announcement, I’ve been looking back to the things concerning Sayashi that I might have missed. It brought me back eventually to things I didn’t though, but things that reminded me of the huge hopes and swelling pride as you watch the group named Morning Musume ’15.

Morning Musume mixes various generations, new and old, so there are times when the difference in degrees of enthusiasm, commitment, and the like, emerge, but now, I get the sense that everyone is like, "Ready, go!" and is aiming towards the same direction. It's wonderful. Really, if I ask the fans to please make Morning Musume grow big from now on, too, I think that the members will do their best to live up to those expectations. And if that effort comes to fruition, I'll be happy, too. I have a premonition that if it's the current members, they'll accomplish something.

Instead of pursuing her own desires, to devote oneself to doing the right thing. As one who stands in the center, in both singing and dancing, she is the one who leads Morning Musume in their performances. Her stoic image is far from average or common, her aloof nature is subtle and solemn, her love for Morning Musume backing her every move. For Michishige Sayumi also, it is not only for her own sake, but for the sake of Morning Musume that she is always prim and proper. The one who will inherit this trait is Sayashi Riho, 9th gen member.

As the members of the press gave hints saying, “It sounds like Latin”, “Everyone is wearing white costumes, perhaps it’s a name of a flower”, and finally one person said, “It’s lily”, Sayashi responded, “Although the flower in the poster is a lily, I interpreted it to have come from the main character’s name, Lily. That’s where I thought it came from”.

There are many other things that I could quote, but my work’s server filters all the blog-related sites, such as ice-jiggly and other tumblr sites that translated Sayashi’s goals and passion in English.
You must understand now how heartbreaking it feels.
Because amidst the "huge hopes and swelling pride as I watch the group named Morning Musume ’15", is that there is Sayashi Riho standing at the center of it all, her presence drawing and holding everyone as they head towards that “goal”; such brilliance, such presence. the talent, that her words hold power and compelled you to believe. Because there is Sayashi, she is Sayashi. Such promise.
Are they already there?
No. But the fact that they are continuously and steadily moving forward; a painstaking process, but with such burning desire even they've inherited after Sayu left- such grace as they held those flowers sprinkled with something by Sayu- made you want to support them with equivalent and overwhelming intensity. It might have been a long journey, but you know they’re getting there. You’re seeing them get there. You believed they will.
Then someone has to leave. And it’s no other than, the Sayashi Riho.
