0Okay, this is probably the meanest thing ever and I really feel bad for talking about it....but it must be said!
So today I was at work and I was doing the usual, checking people out at the registers when all of a sudden...DETA!! There she was! The lady with the mustache!! 
It through me off guard so badly that, on accident, I did sort of a jump back kind of deal. You know the kind you do when something surprises you?
Yeah, that kind of deal.
Thank god she didn't notice otherwise I would have felt like the worst person on earth! It's bad enough I'm even talking about it, right?
I mean it wasn't just a little hair on the lip that she could just go get it waxed or tweez them off. Oh no no... It was a full grown, hey look at me, I'm not even trying to look good, bushy caterpillar, kind of stache!
I just had to tell someone cuz I had never seen one before.
Also, I have a question for you all.
See, at work we are able to return items if say, they're defective, or if they customer just doesn't end up using it...BUT!
It CANNOT be opened or on sale.
We have these signs posted at every register, on the doors when you walkin and when you exit and another 10ft x 6ft sign right up on the wall where everyone in the entire store can see it.
Today this lady wanted to return some items, but it just so happened that the items were on sale when she purchased them.
So I said to her "I'm sorry, but these items are clearance items so they're non-returnable"
She looked at me with a kind of 'are you &%@#ing kidding me?' glare and said,
"So, I can't return them?"
"No, I'm sorry, but it's our policy"
"Since when?"
"Since forever..." I was getting really annoyed.
"But they weren't on clearance, they were just on sale."
I gave her a
"Yeah, all the sale items are non-returnable"
"I don't see where it says that"
I point my finger straight up to the gigantic sign that states our policy.
"Well I don't come here to look at the wall, I should have been told this."
"It's also taped to the counter right here" I put my finger on the return policy sign on the counter.
While putting her items back into the back she brought them in with "....sorry"
She storms out. ...... 
By this time I was so annoyed my face was turning a little red.
Now my question to everyone is, is there a difference between sale items and clearance items???
Or am I just going crazy thinking they're the same.... 
Someone please tell me I'm not going crazy.
i have seen these type of mustache ladies and honestly. it makes you wonder lol it does.
and THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SALE AND CLEARENCE items lol same crap different smell. i hate when there is like 25575867 signs posted and for some reason "people can't see them"

A sale item is something that has its price lowered, but only for a limited amount of time. Usually a week or so and then whether it is bought or not, they go back to full prices at the end of the sale.
Clearance items are items that are marked down and stay marked down at that price for a time, but if still no one buys it, it can get lowered even further. I used to work at Target and clearance items start with 30% off then a week or so later get dropped to 50% off and finally 75% off before it is thrown out.
However (lol)
They can be linked. Like holidays or back to school or whatever. A Halloween candy sale will be before Halloween, but right after Halloween, alllll that candy goes on clearance- because the theme (ex. bat shaped Snickers) is over.
