Hello,
Just got back today from the festival ... the first thing I did was jump in the shower, grab some food and dive onto the internet ... I dont think I've been without the internet for this long ... seriously .. I was getting withdrawal symptoms, there was a tent with internet access (£1.50 for 15 minutes) ... I was very tempted to get a quick idol fix and check my emails .. but I realized that I was far too drunk to operate the internet.
At the moment I'm going through all the threads and news I've missed, also taking care all the new downloads/uploads.
I took some photos with my mobile phone, the resolution isn't that great but I didn't wanna risk losing/breaking my digital camera ...
This is a picture of my tent, it was a fairly cheap tent, this picture was taken on the first day, as you can see the beer cans are slowly filling up quite nicely.
I didnt have the energy to pack a away my tent so I left it in the middle of the field ... plus lastnight while drunk I thought it would be fun to slash the tent up with a knife I had ... yeah I don't undertsand why either .. I just like stabbing things I guess
I went to the festival with ten of my friends so we all had our tents facing each others in a large circle, most people set up a flag pole to represent where in the world they come from, I saw many different flags, German, Italy, Japan, Israel, new zealand, etc etc ... our flag was a little different though ... it was funny to see peoples faces when they walked past our area wondering what exactly we were selling ...
(note: Ive censored my friends faces because im a nice guy and I dont know if they want pics of them published)
This photo was taken about 6 in the morning just as the sun was rising, it was a really beautiful day, you could see the morning mist creeping from the forest, I was quite hungover when I took this pic, shortly afterwards I wondered over to the cheese toasty van and got some breakfast ... and a beer.
Sometimes it can be tricky to locate your tent when very drunk, so I got myself a 'dora the explorer' balloon to attach to my tent ... she was tied up for about 20 minutes before my knot came undone and she flew away into the sky ... it was a very traumatic experience ... I remember falling onto my knees and shouting 'DOOOORAAAAAAA NOOOOOOOOOOOOO' ... people around the camp area also started to scream out her name, Dora went onto explore another day I guess (bitch).
Beer wasnt the only thing I drank, I also had a fair amount of jagermeister ... yummy.
When not watching the bands and going on the rides I was sat with my crew drinking the day away, there was alot of random people around the camp shouting various things in the hope of starting a mexican wave style effect, the most common cry was the hearty pirate 'yarrrrrghhhh' ... which we returned even louder, also lots of people shouted out 'THIS IS MADNESS!!' ... which was instantly returned with 'THIS IS SPARTAAAAAAAA!!!!!'.
Although I was away from my beloved j-pop I still manged to play them on the cd player we had set up below our flag, I manged to play C-ute's 'Ooki na Ai de Motenashite' and Berryz Kobo's 'Munasawagi Scarlet' ... most people were confused by this music, but everyone was too drunk to care anyway :3
Here's a shot of Soulfly playing, I manged to get into the pit and take down a few people, some dudes face was covered in blood which was kinda funny, my arms and legs still hurt from defending my king of the pit crown, lols.
Me and some friends enjoying a banana flavoured bong, this was quite relaxing.
A shot of Dimmu borgir playing, they had a full set of pyrotechnics which threw out large balls of fire into air, it was most impressive, I also got to meet Dimmu borgir at the signing tent and got myself some signatures :3
And then my mobile battery died on me, my friends have more pictures so I'll probably upload some more when they send me some.
But for now I'm gonna detox myself and catch up on all the hello project I've missed out on, its good to be home.
