The future of °C-ute

Hello! Project
In the beginning, there was 8.....now only 5 will remain.

Erika going off on her own, I seriously think that's one of the best decision she has made in her career. Honestly thinking, she wasn't doing much in °C-ute. Her appearances in magazines were ever more appealing than whatever she did as a part of °C-ute. I don't mean her existence in the group is meaningless (Personally, I enjoyed all her Tension Ageko skits in the concerts and events), just to the group overall, not much will be missing without her in terms of song performances. This could all lead to argument of Maimi and Airi being line hogs, but that's not the point here.

Getting out of °C-ute and H!P is a move Erika will not regret. Look at it this way, what will happen to these girls when °C-ute inevitably cease to exist? I wouldn't worry for Maimi and Airi since they are the most popular and they already have other things going on outside of the group. The other girls aren't as lucky. You might say, Erika, Nakki, Chisa, and Maimai all put in as much, if not more efforts than Maimi and Airi, they deserve a chance too! But alas, the idol world is an unfair place and there's no way to change it. So Erika pulling out now while she still has popularity will ensure her success in her upcoming career change.

Now the question is, what will happen to the rest of °C-ute? They can still fully operate with 5 members as long as Maimi and Airi are still present. I'm sure many will wonder if new members will be added, or will more girls leave? If you ask me, I don't see neither happening anytime soon. No new members because H!P kids groups just don't operate this way. They are not Morning Musume where there are periodic auditions for new members (we're long over due for one, but that's another topic). Remember when Sengoku Minami participated in the Berryz stage play? That caused a bit disturbance and many fans feared she would be added permanently to Berryz. H!P kids groups has this special bond between the members, so it won't work when you add new members in. Not to dig shit back up, but to this day, there are still many hardcore fan who dislike Kanna because she was addition from the Eggs, not an original H!P kids. And as for more members leaving, I don't see that happening either. Maimi and Airi will not leave for sure, even if they want to, the management won't allow it, with the two of them being the face of °C-ute. Nakki, Chisa, and Maimai have nothing going for them outside of °C-ute, they pretty much got no where to go, unless they want to go back to a normal life like Kanna. Kanna left on unusual circumstances *cough* boyfriend *cough* leg injury was an excuse *cough*.

Whatever change comes our way, we will still remain as fans and support these girls (most of us anyways).

as long as C-ute still have Maimi and Airi, its gonna be alright. as for Erika, she did the right thing. H!P and UFA isn't gonna help her out so she gotta do it herself. Plus she can always comeback as a guest singer for them if she wanted too.
i think c-ute will be okay... seems bit weakened, but still ok... i wouldn't be surprised if new members are added... felt like c-ute is kind of incomplete with only 5 members.... if tsunku going to add new members, i bet it will be from H!P eggs, like how he add Kanna to the group... & most likely, the new members will be push to the back like Erika & Kanna as long as Airi & Maimi in the group, so i felt bit sorry for the new member... fans wont like it at first but they'll accept it sooner of later, just look at what happen to Junjun & Linlin, i'm sure the wota had now accepted them being part of MM...
as for erika, i respect her decision... seems like she had thought about it carefully... i respect her courage to seek for something she really want to do, which is kinda rare for anyone who grad from H!P... usually they grad/retired because they have to (hukhuk... u know what i mean...) or as solo singer (which is natural to happen)... i'm no big fan of erika, but i'll cheer for her new ambition.. hopefully she succeed...
I think their future will rest more on how they will perform now that they are only 5. Their lead singers are still in the group so that is a factor in them succeeding. I am confident that they can pull it through just as I am confident Erika will do well.... ^_^
