TOPIC: S/mileage is H!P's best group?

Before you go THIS GUY IS DELUSIONAL or THIS GUY IS BIASED:

1. As much as I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE them my FAVE LIST goes like this:
C-ute >>>>>>>>>> WALL >>>>>>>> AKB48 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> WALL >>>>>> the rest.

2. I'm in a H!P forum soooo yeah

1. All the members are great singers + dancers

Each of the members' voices are nice and clear. They are pleasant to the ears. They also show basic singing skills which includes holding a note, vibrato and falsetto. Usually in a group, there's a difference in skill between members. It exist in Smileage as well but it's very minimal.

They aint exactly MORNING MUSUME or FAIRIES when it comes to dancing but they're quite good as well. Their moves has strength and they can handle slow-paced to fast paced dances. Ayacho and Take-chan especially are great dancers.

2. Great live performers

For a live performance to be great, one needs to showcase their amazing skill but at the same time being one with the crowd. In the idol world, encouraging fans to cheer and having fun are some of the ways to showcase great live performing. Smileage does this really well. They have fun and jump around on the stage while encouraging fans to cheer. Showing off their cuteness, it's very fun to watch them! Again, they aint exactly like their GREAT SEMPAI's C-UTE when it comes to live performing but (imo) Smileage isn't too far off.

3. Appearance

If you look at Smileage, all the members are very cute. I'm not saying the other members of H!P are ugly but if you look at each of their faces, there's a high chance of you saying "WOW she's cute" etc.
I believe SCANDAL's Mami (I think it was her) has admitted to liking Smileage preferably Maro.

3. Fun personalities

The members in Smileage seem to be innocent and nice but that is not the case.
Usually in a group, there's only 1-2 weird members but Smileage broke that rule.

My reasons why Smileage is the best H!P group right now. Feel free to agree or disagree below.
Although it was a bit of a joke blog, my honest feelings were poured here. I really see nothing wrong with Smileage.

I became a fan of S/mileage this year! All the members have sweet voices, their weakest singers are still really good. But I think they are not the best group.

For one thing aside from the vocal quality I think all your reasons can be said for why Morning Musume or C-ute is the best. Both of their dancing and live performances are stronger than S/mileage to me, and appearance wise for C-ute I've only seen Mai & Chisa get some mean comments compared to the entire group aside from Dawa. Personality wise I think S/mileage, J=J, & Musume have some outgoing characters also. Really all the groups are great, no group is #1 all around for me. All of them have a quality the other is missing. Even though C-ute is my favorite too! ^ ^

I AGREE 100% WITH YOU. I am totally bias towards S/mileage!! xDD

They all can sing very well, everyone has improved so much, I expect a lot fo good things happening to S/mileage in the near future.

If we were going by singing ability to tell who the #1 hp group is then S/mileage would be my choice. But if I judged by dancing, lives, appearance, and personality they wouldn't be 1st in all categories. Berryz, J=J, Musume, and C-ute each have an area they're great at too. So in my mind if S/mileage only wins in one or two parts I cannot say they are the best myself. It would be unfair to the others who are amazing at one or two other things.

300% Agree, been following Momusu since the era of Gocchin,,
i'm so grateful to keep following H!P and meet this amazing group

all my oppinion:
- all members can sing very well
- each member has very unique voice character. and when they sing in unison it's speachless
- good dancer. experienced with dance as most of them from kenshuusei.
S/mileage have many song with hard dance difficulties. not believe, try for yourslef Eeka!?, mystery night, chotto matte kudasai, etc.. guaranteed u loose breath instantly.
mm14 dance looks hard but it has "flow" all you need is good teamwork & good memory.

S/m dance can suddently go fast, slow, small jump, or squat like pose. it is so tiring
- good at acting (see Warera Jeane or Lilium)
- strong each member individual personlity
many groups said they got "kosei barabara", S/mileage got kousei bara bara at MAXX
in positive side none of them is "normal",, totally "Kawaru mono" ... lately i found that Rina has S personality,, lol
- Best ever Aori in H!P
S/m doing many aori that never been before in H!P, rock-band style of aori like on Choi Kawa bancou,
,,,i never saw before a member doing "inabaua" during a live lol ..and some fans hadbanging in H!P live
the best part is they think it by themselfes (with approvement of their maneger ofcourse)

not becaouse their coreography teacher told them to, or senpais pass it to them
- hardworker. never though before that they will change so drasticly.
to be honest i'm not a fan S/m from the begining (i'm not easy attracted by new cute face)

S/m took all my attention when they become "left-over" group, two main members left the group, and fans start to forget them.. scold by tsunku in public. yet they not give up, keep improving, strengthen their bonds
used to be most "shy" group & afraid of stranger, learn how important of fans is. it realy touched me watching S/m give their personal item at naruchika live

S/m mmber eat together, play together, doing weird thing together. umm, maybe some thing they can do it together, visiting paint-art musseum or temple ayacho can not allow, cz they are so loud .. lol

They've been the best group for like three years now, where have you been?

But really, S/mileage to me is the full package. All the girls even if they aren't necessarily babes are cute and appealing, can pull off sexy, cool, funky, and cute (they basically did all of those things in a row with their last three singles). They're total weirdos not a boring one in the bunch so it's always a treat to have them let lose their thoughts on basically anything (their Pocket questions are far more entertaining than the other H!P groups). Their music has been REALLY good since Smile Sensation (one of my top H!P albums) and of course, their performance ability is rock solid. When a group's weakest links are about on par or better than average then you know they're the real deal. Of the groups I listen to regularly, only S/mileage and TOKYO GIRL'S STYLE fit that criteria for me, they're who I think of when I think of top performance groups and on my shortlist of "go to" acts when I want to hear good smooth vocals. One of my worries with S/m's 3rd gen was they would mess it up by adding just cute faces but while the new gen have some catching up to do with their seniors, we're far from having a MM or AKB like situation every time new girls are added.

What S/mileage lacks in popularity and relevance, they make up for by just being the best they can be for the people who do know them. Their Budokan looks AMAZING, not because the concert itself is flashy or big in scale but because the girls themselves are just so amazing. I can't wait to watch the DVD.
