This is going to be my first actual post on this blog and I wanted to start off with talking about the disadvantages of being an oversea fan. The first disadvantage I'm going to talk about is being able to go to concerts and events. As a Jpop fan for over 5 years, I have never been to a concert whether it's in the U.S or in Japan. Even if a artist I like come close to where I live, I also end up hesitating so I end up not going. I always think that there will be another chance but that chance never comes. I know this is my own fault but I also wanted to talk about actually being able to go to Japan for these kinds of events. Going to Japan or any country is hard even for me though I have relatives that I can visit and stay at their house. Plane tickets are expensive especially in the summertime and the wintertime and that's the time when all the concerts are scheduled. Also getting concert tickets are probably a challenge. I'm honestly not sure how to get one still because I never made a plan to go to a concert.
The second topic I wanted to talk about is getting goods. I know this might not be hard for some people but to this day, I don't have very many Hello Project goods. The only time I can actually get pictures of my favorite idols is when I go to Japan. Luckily I was able to go over Thanksgiving break so I was able to buy some pictures. Although you can just get those kinds of things online, I tend not to get things online very often. Since I am still young, I have to ask for my parents credit card if I ever want anything. At first, I wanted to buy some pictures on the official online Hello Project store but due to the shipping cost which was 800 yen(around $8), I was told by my dad to look for pictures on Yahoo auction. I was lucky about that for the first few goods but then I was starting to get told by my dad that the seller isn't a good one so I decided to stop buying/asking for goods. So long story short, I have to go to Japan to get photobooks, pictures, concert goods etc because I can't get them online. But I am lucky enough to get CDs and DVDs.
I'm sorry if I sound like a spoiled brat who gets upset whenever I can't get things I want but I just wanted to talk about the disadvantages I have with liking Jpop artists while living in the U.S.

I feel the same way. I also dont have a credit card although i would want to buy some stuff. If there would be another way to purchase stuff it would be great but in the end i would have to ask someone i know with a credit card. It is really not easy.
