Hello! Project Blu Rays help guide
Hello! I just wanted to give a help guide to people so that they are informed about buying any Blu Ray products concerning Hello! Project!

I'm doing this as a response to the news of Youtube Red subscription. In a nutshell, Youtube/Google are asking for money, about $10 US dollars, to be a part of their Red service and it also deals with video ads. Those who do not want to pay to the subscription will have their videos unviewable and on private. You have most likely noticed that all videos on Hello! Product channels are not viewable (recently those in the US). It is planned that this will become global.

As this is a devastating blow to fans outside of Japan, there are thankfully some other ways to view music videos. There's Dailymotion, vimeo (i'm guessing), as well as the tracker here on H!O and other ways that I do not know about (like a proxy).
However, with this news, it motivates me more to getting a blu ray player and getting all the material I want on blu ray.

What's blu ray? As I got from a website, blu ray is "The format was developed to enable recording, rewriting and playback of high-definition video (HD), as well as storing large amounts of data. The format offers more than five times the storage capacity of traditional DVDs and can hold up to 25GB on a single-layer disc and 50GB on a dual-layer disc. This extra capacity combined with the use of advanced video and audio codecs will offer consumers an unprecedented HD experience."

The best part of blu ray is that it is region-free. DVD's are made specific for a certain region of the world. You can read more here (https://en.wikipedia...DVD_region_code), but here's the different regions:

Region 1: U.S., U.S. Territories, Canada, and Bermuda
Region 2: Japan, Europe, South Africa, and the Middle East, including Egypt
Region 3: Southeast Asia, East Asia, including Hong Kong
Region 4: Australia, New Zealand, Pacific Islands, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean
Region 5: Eastern Europe, Baltic States, Russia, Central and South Asia, Indian subcontinent, Africa, North Korea, and Mongolia
Region 6: China

So, if you purchased a limited edition of a Morning Musume or a Juice=Juice CD and wished to play the DVD, but it won't work, this is the reason.

That's why it is best to have blu-ray. It is more expensive than DVD; that is the downfall of it. But, if Youtube continues to be like this, then it's best for alternatives.

Here is my list of blu rays to purchase for music videos. I know that it will take me an eternity and a half to get them all, simply because of money issues and the fact that I am currently a jobless college student. However, if you go through CDJapan, they have a points system. Once you accumulate points, then they can be used to make a cheaper purchase.
