I don't think they will.
It was necessary for S/m when Saki left,
but now both of them are already built up.
The system of adds and grads is only for Musume, after all.

but they never mention the possibility of adding them to existing groups, right?
The KSS were annihilated for 12th gen, so I doubt there's any chance for them there,

MM wasn't supposed to have the add and grad system at the beginning, it was just something Tsunku mentioned by chance.
They put 2nd gen and then 3rd in so soon after their debut, and so that the members could feel free to leave whenever they wanted, they all decided to change to that system.
If they didn't have people coming and going from the start it would have been hard to pull off.
S/m and juice are still young, their careers are short, so they probably won't graduate for a while.
It was mentioned that it would be possible for S/m to do add and grad, but in reality they haven't. Berryz system of rotating the line-up disappeared.
To add without any graduations, it will be over 2 years since 2nd gen and that's too long, the more time passes the harder it gets to do.

S/mileage as an overall unit has been getting better.
If a unit together is known only by its individuals as cute or ugly, skilled or not,
then the group itself is scattered and watching a group of individuals isn't entertaining.

For S/m performance and things are absolutely unnecessary.
Their idol quality is low, not sparkling at all, so they need to put in someone who is a blossoming flower of idolhood with a high quality of appearance.
Of course, having a good figure is indispensable, the basis for their group.

So, I end up translating several threads about new members, partly because I find it interesting and partly because there are a lot of them on the subject. I think this one was the most interesting so far, though, simply because it included more people than just those who obviously want more members and several good points were brought up. Well, I liked it, at least.

I think #1 pretty much nailed it. S/mileage started small and couldn't take the loss of 1-2 members without becoming something very different. This mistake wasn't repeated when Juice=Juice began with a greater number.
