I don't really mean the playful production in a bad way but kinda amused with the development of rivalry between these claimed to be closed, two high-profiled idol producers. Both producers has contributed to other producing jobs out of their well-known produced figures. A number of them are well-known celebrity in Japan too for example, Hibari Misora (Akimoto) and Hamasaki Ayumi (Tsunku). They also worked with anime and games industries. Both producers started their producing career at age of 29 years old. The almost similar background given them the same aura whenever the societies look at them. However, there is something different that given them a different feeling which is their appearance. Tsunku appears with dyed hair and known with his rock band, SharanQ meanwhile Akimoto appears with composed and smart appearance and he is also a profesor and a vice president at Kyoto University of Art and Design department.

The first rally started off with Onyanko Club (おニャン子クラブ) on 1985 a massive group with many members. One of their well-known member is Kudo Shizuka who married with SMAP's most popular member, Kimura Takuya. One of the most notable information for me is Akimoto married with the girl she is producing whose name, Takai Mamiko. Of course, he married her when the group had been disbanded.

Following Akimoto is Tsunku who started out with Morning Musume (モーニング娘。) on 1997 which for me inspired by Onyanko Club especially with the idea of adding and graduating member. Another thing that I sense to be similar is the mix of english and Japanese language and the existence of 'girl' word on both groups.

Perhaps with the feeling that he doesn't want to lose to Morning Musume or rather wanted to motivate Tsunku, Akimoto built a short lasting group, Checkicco (チェキッ娘) on 1998. The group received critism from Morning Musume's original member, Iida Kaori who was first asked about their feelings on Suzuki Ami and Taiyo to Cisco Moon. She was at first answered the question calmly but turned rather jumpy in irritation when Checkicco's name was mentioned and said it was due to the fact that the group appear shortly after they debut officially and under an almost the same name. This group however disbanded a year later on November 3, 1999, 2 month after Morning Musume met their hit with Love Machine.

Ever since, Hello!Project is made to known for all idols produced by Tsunku from then on.

Foher wheher when , thinformation One of the most notable most popular mmwa massive ) ,FoFor me, the moment Akimoto seen a declining in sales Morning Musume had, he wanted to fill the empty space in the declining popularity in idol genre wholely or perhaps wanted to motivate Morning Musume more by producing AKB48 10 years later on 2006. Another massive group in Japanese music scene and the group started out small and only locally known to many. Currently taking over Morning Musume's title as Japan's National Idol. Akimoto started the franchise of 48 family to challenge Tsunku's Hello!Project with SKE48 and SDN48.

Trying to survive, Tsunku produced S/mileage (スマイレージ) on 2009 and officially debut on 2010. The group received a short attention from Japan as the next Hit group. However, Akimoto doesn't seems to want to give Tsunku any space when he produced few sub-unit groups including AKB48's official rival Nogizaka46 (乃木坂46) which debuted on 2012.

Still early for me to add anything to see which success come after but at this point, it looks good for me because once AKB48 is done, almost 70% sure other AKB48's franchise groups including the rival group could've follow the same trail at the same time and that is my personal thoughts and opinion for every scenes I've seen. I really look forward on how these informations would turn out in few years to come, whether AKB being dethrone by Morning Musume, or perhaps H!P groups or maybe another groups out there. Let's see...

If anyone is going to 'dethrone' AKB, it's going to be Momoclo.
Very interesting read. I like it. Thank you very much.

Sure!
Morning Musume has a good track-record after each generation. i wanna see what AKB looks like when the known faces start to graduate. Who will be the center-girls to fill in those spots? Tsunku and/or Up-Front have experience in pushing forward the right girls to keep H!P in the right place when AKB's popularity begins to decline.

I hope tomato n'pine, fudanjuku and Ebisu Muscats begin to gain more exposure and populairty for 2012 and so on.
