One Two Three Analysis and Figures

I watched the video and counted on each of the jump cuts what girls were on screen. If it was a dance shot I only counted it if it was different from the previously released dance shot and only if the girls in question were looking at the camera. Close ups were easy. The spinning swirling parts counted everyone. I did this for every cut - the number is how many times they're on screen. I did not count seconds because I do not hate myself but I counted each and every jump cut (if it was on a girl and jump cut to be on the same girl) which consequently helped out Misaki and Fukumura the most: Ayumi 47, Fukumura 33, Iikubo 17, Ikuta 29, Kanon 19, Kudou 24, Misaki 23, Reina 45, Riho 64, Sayumi 47 are the totals I got.

I should be said that if it was a closer shot of 5 girls I counted every single one of them that you could see the face of in focus. This accounts for a lot of closer shots of just Reina, Riho and Ayumi when the other girls were out of focus dancing in the back. If you don't want to count those numbers then the shots for all three girls are way lower. I also counted points wherein the girl was in the frame with someone else in front but they were making direct eye contact with the camera leading me to believe they were supposed to be framed in. In short I was really generous with what counted as a shot to all parties I think.

That's 348 individual shots of girls total. Average, obviously, would be 35 shots (rounding up) for each girl if everything was divided out perfectly evenly.

On to percentages.

Riho had 18% of all of the shots in the video
Ayumi and Sayumi had 13% each
Reina had 12% of the shots in the video

31% of the video focused on 10th generation (42% of the shots of 10th generation are Ayumi focused, 21% are Kudou focused, 20% are Misaki focused, and 15% are Iikubo focused)
40% of the video focused on 9th generation (44% of the shots of 9th generation are Riho focused, 22% are Fukumura focused, 20% are Ikuta focused and 13% are Kanon focused)

Roughly 31% of the video was just between Reina and Riho. Which if you think about it is remarkably low considering the amount they were purported to sing at the beginning of this. Obviously the biggest gap of lines to appearances is between Ayumi and Fukumura.

It's also worth noting in my mind that Kanon's featured less in her generation than Iikubo is in hers. I think both of them suffered because they have almost NO close up dance shots due most likely to the fact that their dancing is a bit weaker than all of the other members (though dramatically improved so far). Iikubo's shots were almost exclusively the headshot close up save for, like, two. She did, however, also get to have a wink which I think was nice.

I don't think it's interesting to talk about how much Riho was present in the video. She sang a lot, of course she's there. I think it Is interesting to talk about Fukumura and Ayumi however who were there WAY more often than their lines would suggest. I'm not sure if I would count this as a gentle push but I really want to.

This post was so long I just thought I'd recopy it so I could find it again later.

Wow this is awesome!! thanks for taking the time to do this, i actually think that the screen time they give for each member was fair and good =)
that's really interesting! ^_^ thank you!~
Excellent stuff, and very interesting...somehow in my head Masaki got a lot more screen time. However I think this amounts to one thing, she did a fantastic job with the time given to her.
This is really interesting! Thanks for taking your time to do this <3
Thanks for that! I thought maybe Masaki and Mizuki got a decent fair of shots. By the way *Masaki. You wrote Misaki :)
