Wow this layout has changed quite a bit. Seems more clean. Or maybe it's just my new monitor

It's been a long time since I've been here. Mostly because I've fallen out of the MM/H!P fandom...but I still do check the front page on a daily basis just in case something happens.

This is what brought me here really. Just to share because...wow. I think this might be better.

So some update about me. Still working at the nursing home. The residents are fine- some are annoying but that isn't really an issue. Some of them are rude and just generally what you come to expect from people if you have ever dealt with people in a public setting.

The worst thing about working is the employees. A lot of the nursing staff is really not fit for this field. The lack of compassion, sympathy, empathy, professionalism...they seem like horrible people. The reason why some people see the nursing as such a depressing place is because of the staff. Not because of the residents. Sure, there may be some sad cases but those can actually be the isolated few if there were better people working there. I don't just mean better employees- they can be fantastic at following protocol and doing things by the books- I mean better people because you are directly working with people. Change happens in real time.......now I'm just rambling.

Doesn't everyone want a better world? A better society? Why doesn't everyone just be a slightly better person then...?

I walked into the DIY shop. "Excuse me," I asked, "have you got any 6 inch screws?"

"Only what we've got on the shelf," replied the cashier, pointing.

I don't know why he's selling these, I thought to myself as I unscrewed them and the shelf fell down. 

 

 

My wife was furious with me the other day.
